Marketing Assistant – Mechanical Background

Job Summary

We are looking for a Marketing Assistant with a Mechanical Engineering background to support the Marketing & Sales team in handling technical products, customer communication, quotations, order follow-ups, and sales coordination.

The candidate should have basic knowledge of mechanical engineering, manufacturing processes, engineering drawings, and industrial products.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the Marketing/Sales team in handling customer enquiries and requirements.
- Understand technical specifications of products and explain them to customers.
- Prepare and coordinate quotations, offers, price details, and technical information.
- Study customer drawings, specifications, and BOMs and coordinate with the design/production team when required.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Quality, Design, and Dispatch departments for customer requirements.
- Follow up with customers regarding enquiries, quotations, orders, deliveries, and payments.
- Maintain records of enquiries, quotations, orders, and customer communications.
- Assist in preparing MIS reports, sales reports, enquiry status, and order status.
- Support the sales team in identifying potential customers and generating new business enquiries.
- Communicate with existing and new customers through phone, email, WhatsApp, and meetings.
- Assist in preparing product presentations, catalogues, technical documents, and marketing materials.




- Coordinate with the technical/design team for any customized product requirements.
- Visit customers or attend customer meetings when required.
- Monitor competitor products, market requirements, and pricing information.
- Ensure timely follow-up on pending quotations and enquiries.
- Maintain proper documentation of customer and sales-related activities.

Technical Knowledge Required
- Basic knowledge of Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing Processes.
- Understanding of engineering drawings and basic dimensions.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD will be an added advantage.
- Basic knowledge of CNC/VMC, machining, forging, fabrication, and assembly.
- Understanding of mechanical components such as couplings, shafts, gears, bushes, and other industrial components will be preferred.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and email communication.

Educational Qualification Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.

Experience

1–3 years of experience in Marketing/Sales Coordination in an engineering or manufacturing company is preferred.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
