Rainforest Alliance (RA) is implementing the UNEP-GEF supported project “Transforming Agricultural Systems and Strengthening Local Economies in High Biodiversity Areas of India through Sustainable Landscape Management and Public-Private Finance (SABAL)” in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. The project aims to reduce land degradation, conserve biodiversity, strengthen sustainable agricultural production systems, enhance market opportunities for producers, improve farmer livelihoods, and facilitate private sector engagement through Integrated Landscape Management (ILM) approaches. The project also supports Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), certification initiatives, knowledge management, and scaling of sustainable landscape management practices.
Rainforest Alliance seeks to engage a consultant to provide technical and coordination support for FPO development, sustainability certification, capacity building, knowledge management, documentation of project outcomes, stakeholder facilitation, and reporting.
The consultant will work closely with the Senior Technical Associate, implementing partners, FPOs, private sector partners, certification bodies, and other key stakeholders.
