Manufacturing Technology Delivery Lead

Role Overview : We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Technology Delivery Lead to own end-to-end delivery across four workstreams covering Ignition SCADA/HMI and OT connectivity, DELMIA Apriso MES support and Azure platform operations, digital manufacturing applications, and a managed Ignition deployment spanning ITAR and non-ITAR environments. The role sits at the intersection of plant-floor OT and enterprise IT, leading a distributed team of approximately 25 practitioners across India, the US and Poland, and requires genuine manufacturing technology depth alongside strong managed-services delivery discipline.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery Leadership

- Own SLA, KPI and throughput commitments across all four workstreams, and run the operating rhythm covering intake, prioritisation, sprint and release cadence, escalation and service reviews.
- Balance capacity across enhancement, support and project work, and resolve contention between plant-driven urgency and planned roadmap delivery.
- Manage release and change governance for MES and SCADA changes, including plant validation windows, downtime coordination and rollback planning.
- Lead major incident response for production-impacting outages and drive problem management through to permanent resolution.
- Drive continuous improvement by reducing recurring incidents, eliminating manual effort, and building automation and reusable knowledge assets that can be shared across workstreams.
- Track and report delivery health, financials, utilisation and risk to client and internal leadership.

Technical Direction

- Provide architectural oversight on Ignition solution design, including gateway and cluster topology, tag architecture, Perspective and Vision HMI standards, redundancy,



historian and alarm strategy.
- Guide Apriso delivery across process definitions, business components, integration with ERP and shop-floor systems, setting strategy and Azure platform operations.
- Set and enforce standards for OT connectivity using OPC UA, MQTT/Sparkplug, PLC and edge integration, aligned to ISA-95 and Purdue reference models.
- Review designs across the digital application portfolio, including MAPS, PCAT and shared services, and ensure reuse of shared services rather than duplicated build.
- Establish engineering standards for code quality, version control, testing, environment management and documentation across all workstreams.

Compliance and Risk

- Operate the ITAR estate with strict data and access segregation, ensuring only authorised personnel access controlled environments and that non-ITAR delivery paths remain cleanly separated.
- Maintain audit readiness across change control, access management and documentation.
- Support OT security, vulnerability and patching cycles in coordination with plant, infrastructure and security teams.

People and Stakeholder Management

- Lead a distributed team across India, the US and Poland, managing utilisation, skills coverage, cross-training and succession for single points of knowledge.
- Build and coach team leads, and own hiring, onboarding and capability build for the Ignition and Apriso skill pools.
- Act as the primary delivery interface to client manufacturing IT, plant operations and process engineering stakeholders.
- Translate plant-floor problems into technical scope,



and technical constraints into clear business language for senior stakeholders.

Required Skills and Experience

- 12+ years of experience in IT/OT delivery, with at least 6 years in manufacturing technology and 4+ years leading distributed delivery or managed-services teams.
- Strong hands-on background in Ignition (Inductive Automation) or a comparable SCADA/HMI platform.
- Working knowledge of a tier-1 MES platform, with DELMIA Apriso strongly preferred; Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell PharmaSuite or equivalent also considered.
- Practical understanding of plant-floor operations including PLCs, historians, OEE, downtime and quality workflows, production scheduling, traceability and genealogy.
- Familiarity with current digital manufacturing standards and their practical application in solution design and integration:
- Experience with Azure application and platform operations covering environments, deployment pipelines, monitoring, capacity and cost management.
- Proven experience running ITIL-based support across incident, problem and change management against contractual SLAs.
- Experience delivering under export-control or similarly regulated data boundaries such as ITAR or EAR, or demonstrable experience managing segregated-access delivery models.
- Experience with MES to ERP integration, including SAP or equivalent enterprise platforms.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, stakeholder management and written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical, Instrumentation, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Relevant hands-on experience in manufacturing technology delivery across SCADA, MES and OT integration.
- Project or service management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL or SAFe would be an added advantage.
