About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing & Quality SME with strong knowledge of
Manufacturing Operations, Quality, Data & Analytics, Digital Manufacturing, and AI driven solutions.
The role will support the definition and advancement of Manufacturing Data & AI products and capabilities, with a focus on manufacturing analytics, IT/OT data, digital manufacturing, operational intelligence, and emerging AI opportunities.
The ideal candidate will be able to translate manufacturing and quality requirements into product capabilities, work closely with product, architecture, data engineering, OT,
application, and delivery teams, and drive POCs and evaluations of new digital, data,
and AI technologies.
Experience in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, life sciences, or other regulated manufacturing environments, along with exposure to GxP, will be highly preferred.

What You'll Do
Manufacturing & Quality SME
- Provide subject matter expertise across manufacturing operations, quality processes, manufacturing analytics, and digital manufacturing.
- Understand manufacturing business challenges and translate them into data,
analytics, AI, and digital product capabilities.
- Support initiatives focused on improving manufacturing performance, quality,
operational efficiency, and decision-making.
- Work with business and technical stakeholders to identify opportunities for digital transformation and operational intelligence.
- Provide guidance on manufacturing and quality use cases within regulated and
GxP environments.
Manufacturing Data & Analytics
- Work with IT/OT data, including process and time-series data, equipment data,
operational events, runtime/downtime, throughput, and manufacturing performance metrics.
- Understand how manufacturing data is generated, integrated, managed, and consumed across the enterprise.
- Work with teams involved in MES, ERP/SAP, IoT, data platforms, analytics, and
AI/ML solutions.
- Identify opportunities to leverage manufacturing data for advanced analytics,
operational intelligence, and process improvement.
- Support the definition of data and analytics capabilities aligned with manufacturing requirements.
Product Management & Product Ownership
- Define and manage product capabilities, roadmaps, requirements, backlogs,
priorities, and use cases.
- Translate manufacturing and quality requirements into clear and actionable product requirements.
- Collaborate with technical and delivery teams throughout the product development and execution lifecycle.
- Prioritize capabilities based on business value, manufacturing needs, technical feasibility, and product strategy.
- Facilitate discussions between business, product, architecture, engineering, OT,
and application teams.
- Track initiatives, dependencies, priorities, and key outcomes across multiple teams.
POCs & Technology Evaluation
- Identify and evaluate emerging opportunities across AI, ML, IoT, Data Analytics,
Industry 4.0, and Digital Manufacturing.
- Drive Proofs of Concept (POCs) from use-case definition through evaluation and recommendation.
- Define POC objectives, requirements, evaluation criteria, success metrics, and expected outcomes.
- Assess new technologies and capabilities for their applicability to manufacturing and quality use cases.
- Prepare recommendations based on business value, technical feasibility,
scalability, and alignment with product strategy.
Build-vs-Buy & Vendor Evaluation
- Support build-vs-buy assessments for manufacturing, data, analytics, and AI capabilities.
- Evaluate COTS products, platforms, and technology vendors against business and technical requirements.
- Work with architecture and technical teams to assess integration, scalability,
functionality, and overall fit.
- Ensure technology selections are aligned with manufacturing needs and the broader product roadmap.
- Contribute to vendor discussions, capability assessments, and technology recommendations.
Stakeholder & Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Product, Architecture, Data Engineering, OT, Application,
Quality, and Delivery teams.
- Facilitate requirement-gathering sessions, workshops, capability discussions, and solution evaluations.
- Independently drive initiatives involving multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Communicate complex manufacturing, data, and technology concepts effectively to technical and business audiences.
- Ensure alignment across stakeholders on requirements, priorities, timelines, and expected outcomes.
- Identify dependencies, challenges, and opportunities and drive them toward resolution.
What You'll Bring
- 6–8 years of relevant experience in Manufacturing, Manufacturing Technology,
Product Management/Product Ownership, Data & Analytics, Digital Manufacturing,
or related areas.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and quality processes.
- Hands-on or strong domain exposure to manufacturing analytics and IT/OT data.
- Good understanding of process/time-series data, equipment data, operational events, runtime/downtime, throughput, and manufacturing performance.
- Understanding of MES and ERP/SAP systems and their role within the manufacturing data landscape.
- Experience defining product requirements, capabilities, roadmaps, backlogs,
priorities, and use cases.
- Experience working with Data, Analytics, AI/ML, IoT, and Digital Manufacturing technologies.
- Experience driving POCs, capability evaluations, technology assessments, or solution evaluations.
- Understanding of build-vs-buy decisions and COTS/vendor evaluation.
- Strong ability to collaborate with business, product, architecture, data engineering, OT, and application teams.
- Solid problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
- Ability to independently manage and drive initiatives across multiple teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Pharmaceutical, Biopharmaceutical, Life Sciences, or regulated manufacturing.
- Exposure to GxP environments and regulated manufacturing processes.
- Experience with Manufacturing Operational Intelligence.
- Knowledge of Industry 4.0 / Smart Manufacturing initiatives.
- Experience with AI/ML use cases in manufacturing and quality.
- Exposure to IoT, connected manufacturing, predictive analytics, and digital manufacturing platforms.
- Experience working with MES, SAP/ERP, manufacturing data platforms, or industrial data systems.
- Experience evaluating emerging AI, data, IoT, and digital manufacturing technologies.
- Understanding of data integrity, compliance, and technology considerations in regulated environments.
