Manufacturing & Vendor Development Engineer Subcontracting

We are looking for a hands-on Manufacturing & Vendor Development Engineer to manage the manufacturing of machine components through our subcontractor/vendor network.

The role requires a valuable understanding of manufacturing processes, engineering drawings, materials and practical production methods, along with the ability to interact effectively with vendors and ensure parts are manufactured as required.

Key Responsibilities

1. Study drawings and BOMs to identify suitable manufacturing processes and subcontractors.
2. Develop and coordinate vendors for machining, fabrication, sheet metal, welding and other processes.
3. Obtain quotations, assess feasibility and ensure components meet quality, cost and delivery requirements.
4. Follow up with vendors and resolve manufacturing, quality and delivery issues.
5.



Coordinate with Design, Purchase, Quality and Assembly teams for timely component availability.

Candidate Requirements

1. 2-6 years of experience in manufacturing, vendor development, subcontracting or production engineering.
2. Practical knowledge of machining, fabrication, sheet metal, welding and other manufacturing processes.
3. Ability to read mechanical drawings, understand tolerances and interpret BOMs.
4. Strong vendor interaction, negotiation, follow-up and problem-solving skills.
5. Hands-on and proactive, with willingness to visit vendors and manage components from drawing to delivery.
6. Two-wheeler with license is a must.
