- Provide confidential one-on-one counselling to students experiencing emotional, academic, relational, or any other psychological concerns.
- Provide support to students or staff for short-term personal counselling.
- Conduct psychological assessments and identify risk levels
- Handle red-flag and crisis cases in coordination with parents (when appropriate), faculty and other mental health professionals.
- Maintain accurate and confidential case documentation in line with professional ethical standards.
- Be accessible and responsive to urgent student support needs.
- Design and conduct campus-wide mental health awareness and emotional wellness campaigns.
- Manage the implementation of student orientation/induction programs within the campus with the aim to familiarize current students with the wellness initiative and enable students, faculty and staff to understand the importance of mental health.
- Manage the implementation of student counselling guidelines and development programs to help students in their overall experience.
- Manage the Directorate of Student Life’s ongoing relationship with external mental health service provider.
- Help conduct sensitization programs for faculty, academic mentors, residence management team and other staff to help them identify early warning signs.
- Provide periodic reports on trends and preventive strategies.
