POD Foundry is a well-funded US startup, targeting the huge $1T+ real estate space. In particular, the company is manufacturing highly differentiable breakthrough prefabricated building modules (PODs) that completely disrupt how buildings are built. POD Foundry modules are multi-disciplinary and utilize innovations across all building disciplines, architecture, structure and MEPF services.

POD Foundry is setting up its first factory in Vizag which will be completely export oriented. You will have the opportunity to witness the entire factory setup cycle from sketch to mass production. Role Overview





We are looking for a Senior Strategic Sourcing Professional is responsible for leading the sourcing and procurement activities mainly in Building Materials for key categories (Electrical/ Electro- Mechanical) within the organization.

This role focuses on optimizing the Purchase to Pay Process, negotiating supplier contracts, reducing costs and ensuring quality and delivery standards are met.

The Strategic Sourcing Executive will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sourcing strategies that support the company's business objectives.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering (Preferred), Business Administration or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement (Electrical/Electro-Mechanical), preferably in a manufacturing or technical environment.

Strong negotiation skills and experience with contract management.

Key Responsibilities

1.Sourcing Strategy Development:

Develop and implement sourcing strategies that align with the company's goals for cost savings, supplier diversity and supply chain efficiency.

Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers, emerging trends and new opportunities.

1. Cost Optimization:

Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities in collaboration with internal stakeholders. Drive initiatives to reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) through innovative sourcing and procurement processes.
1. Supplier Relationship Management:

Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure high-quality service, competitive pricing and timely delivery. Lead negotiations for contracts, pricing, terms and conditions to achieve the best value for the organization.
1. Monitor supplier performance and take corrective actions when needed.

2. Risk Management

Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain, including potential supply disruptions, quality issues and compliance concerns.



Ensure all suppliers comply with industry regulations, company policies and sustainability practices.
1. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with design, engineering, production, finance and other departments to understand their needs and support sourcing efforts. Facilitate communication between internal teams and suppliers to ensure successful project execution.
1. Data and Performance Analysis:

Analyze spend data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement. Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership on sourcing activities and results.
1. Process Improvement:

Continuously improve sourcing processes and tools to enhance efficiency, transparency and decision-making. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies that can enhance procurement efforts.

Preferred Qualifications;

Bachelor's degree in engineering (Preferred), Business Administration or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement (Electrical/Electro-Mechanical), preferably in a manufacturing or technical environment.

Strong negotiation skills and experience with contract management.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Familiarity with procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Knowledge of supply chain risk management and sustainability practices.

Knowledge of International Business (Import-Export)
