Job Summary

The Manager - Strategic Insights Impact will serve as a strategic partner to the Managing Director, Taylor Francis India, supporting the organisation s engagement with the One Nation One Subscription (ONOS) programme and broader India research-policy ecosystem. The role will combine data analysis, research intelligence, policy understanding and strategic storytelling to translate complex datasets, market developments and stakeholder insights into compelling narratives that demonstrate the value and impact of ONOS and Taylor Francis contribution to India s research ecosystem.

Responsibilities

1. ONOS Data, Analytics Insights

- Analyse and track ONOS-related data to identify trends, opportunities, gaps and emerging patterns in research access, usage, publishing and institutional engagement.
- Develop dashboards, reports and executive-level analyses translating data into actionable insights.

2. Strategic Narrative Development

- Convert complex data and research findings into clear, compelling narratives for senior government and institutional stakeholders.
- Develop evidence-led narratives around the impact of ONOS on research accessibility, research integrity, international collaboration and impact
- Develop India-specific thought leadership and impact narratives that position Taylor Francis as a strategic partner in India s research transformation.

3. Executive Policy Support

- Act as a strategic advisor to the India MD on ONOS, research policy and the evolving Indian scholarly communications landscape.
- Prepare briefing notes, talking points, presentations, speeches,



policy submissions and stakeholder communications for the MD.
- Translate policy developments, government announcements and sector trends into strategic implications and recommended actions for Taylor Francis.
- Monitor ecosystem intelligence across ONOS, ANRF, NEP, research funding and research assessment.
- Develop intelligence on India s research priorities, funding landscape and institutional needs.

5. Impact Measurement Storytelling

- Establish frameworks to measure and communicate the impact of ONOS and Taylor Francis participation.
- Develop institutional and researcher success stories supported by robust data.

6. Stakeholder Engagement Cross-functional Collaboration

- Work with GTM and Content leads to bring together different sources of intelligence.
- Partner with institutions and researchers to gather qualitative insights, customer feedback that complement quantitative data.
- Support senior leadership engagement with government departments, policymakers, academic leaders, research institutions, and funders.

Key Deliverables

The role will be expected to develop:
- Quarterly ONOS Research Publishing Intelligence Reports




- MD briefing packs and policy intelligence notes
- ONOS impact case studies and researcher stories
- Thought leadership articles, speeches and opinion pieces

What success looks like in this role

Within the first 12-18 months, the role should establish a credible evidence base around ONOS and its impact, strengthen Taylor Francis strategic conversations with government and research stakeholders, and enable the India MD to speak with greater authority on India s evolving research ecosystem. Ultimately, the role will help position Taylor Francis not simply as a content provider under ONOS, but as a strategic partner contributing to India s ambitions for a more accessible, inclusive, high-quality and globally competitive research ecosystem.

Job Type

This is a fixed term contract role.

Ideal Candidate Profile

- Significant experience in strategic insights, policy research, analytics, communications, research intelligence, higher education or scholarly publishing is preferrable.
- Robust ability to analyse quantitative and qualitative data and translate it into strategic insights.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas to senior audiences.
- Experience with data visualisation tools.
