Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Manager - Statutory Audit to manage statutory audit assignments, oversee audit execution, review audit work, and ensure timely and high-quality completion of audit deliverables.

The ideal candidate should have relevant Statutory Audit experience, strong knowledge of IND AS / Accounting Standards, financial statement audits, audit planning and execution, risk assessment, internal controls, audit documentation, and financial reporting.

The role will involve handling multiple audit assignments, reviewing audit work and financial statements, coordinating with clients, and guiding audit team members throughout the audit process.

Key Responsibilities

Statutory Audit & Audit Management

Plan and execute statutory audit assignments from initiation to completion.

Handle multiple statutory audit assignments and ensure timely completion.

Conduct and oversee financial statement audits.

Review accounting records and financial statements for accuracy and completeness.

Prepare and review audit working papers and documentation.

Apply IND AS and applicable Accounting Standards during audit assignments.

Perform risk assessment and evaluate internal controls.

Identify audit issues and support their timely resolution.

Ensure compliance with applicable audit and statutory requirements.

Team Handling & Audit Review

Handle and guide audit team members across assigned engagements.

Allocate audit work and monitor progress against timelines.

Review work performed by team members and provide necessary guidance.

Ensure proper audit procedures and documentation are followed.

Support team members in resolving technical and audit-related issues.

Maintain quality and consistency across audit assignments.

Client Management

Interact with clients throughout the audit process.





Coordinate with client teams for required financial information and documentation.

Understand client requirements and address audit-related queries.

Participate in client discussions and meetings.

Communicate audit observations and requirements effectively.

Maintain professional client relationships.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

Review financial statements and accounting information.

Ensure compliance with applicable Accounting Standards and statutory requirements.

Identify inconsistencies or significant issues in financial information.

Support financial reporting and accounting-related audit matters.

Ensure audit documentation and compliance requirements are completed appropriately.

Candidate Requirements





5–8 years of relevant professional experience.

Relevant and strong experience in Statutory Audit.

Experience in audit planning and execution.

Experience handling end-to-end statutory audit assignments.

Strong understanding of financial statement audits.

Knowledge of IND AS / Accounting Standards.

Experience preparing and reviewing audit working papers and documentation.

Understanding of risk assessment and internal controls.

Experience handling and reviewing audit teams.

Experience interacting with clients and managing audit-related communication.

Knowledge of financial reporting and accounting.

Ability to handle multiple audit assignments simultaneously.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.
