Key Responsibilities

- Lead vendor development and strategic sourcing activities for manufacturing components.

- Develop and maintain a reliable supplier base for Sheet Metal, Electrical, Plastic, Refrigeration, Glass, Hardware and Packaging components.

- Identify, evaluate and onboard current suppliers based on technical capability, capacity, quality and commercial competitiveness.

- Drive RFQ, quotation analysis, cost negotiation and commercial finalization.

- Lead cost reduction, cost optimization and value engineering initiatives.

- Develop alternate/local suppliers to reduce supply risks and improve competitiveness.

- Drive sourcing activities for NPD, localization and new component development.

- Coordinate with Engineering, NPD, Quality, Production and SCM teams for new product/component development.

- Lead supplier development activities including sample development, trials, validation and approvals.

- Monitor supplier performance through QCD, delivery, quality and cost parameters.

- Drive supplier quality improvement through RCA, CAPA and corrective actions.

- Evaluate supplier capacity and capability and identify opportunities for supplier improvement.

- Lead supplier audits, assessments and development plans.

- Manage development of tools, dies, moulds, fixtures and other supplier-related requirements.





- Establish sourcing strategies for critical components and ensure business continuity.

- Prepare and review MIS, sourcing dashboards, vendor performance reports and cost-saving reports.

- Lead commercial negotiations and ensure competitive pricing and favourable terms.

- Guide and mentor the Vendor Development/Sourcing team.

- Build strong supplier relationships while ensuring compliance with company requirements and procurement policies.

Candidate Profile

- B.E./B.Tech Mechanical / Production preferred.

- 8-12 years of experience in Vendor Development, Supplier Development, Strategic Sourcing, Purchase or Procurement.

- Strong experience in manufacturing/component sourcing.

- Experience with Sheet Metal, Electrical, Plastic, Refrigeration or fabricated components preferred.

- Strong knowledge of costing, RFQ, quotation analysis, negotiation and supplier development.

- Hands-on experience with SAP MM / ERP.

- Strong analytical skills with advanced MS Excel knowledge.

- Experience in NPD sourcing, localization and alternate vendor development.

- Strong leadership, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.

- Willingness to travel for supplier visits, audits and development activities.
