Manager / Sr. Manager (HOD) Industrial Projects

We are looking for Sr. electrical design engineer to join our fast-growing company. This is an exciting prospect to collaborate from our Indian office with colleagues in our Sweden office. You will apply your electrical design knowledge on project work from conceptual design through completion in various steel, power and other industrial plants and buildings.

Technical quality, cost-effectiveness, building and maintaining client relationships, and providing guidance to a team of designers are integral parts of this role. You will act as the senior responsible for the team deliveries and will be seen as an important resource to control and deliver according to set requirements. You will be responsible together with our team in Sweden to ensure quality and good customer contacts.

Key Responsibilities & Competencies

- Lead electrical engineering and detailed design for industrial/process plants specifically in steel, power, mining, energy or other heavy industries and EPC/EPCM projects is highly desirable.
- Develop SLDs, schematics, wiring diagrams, load lists, cable schedules and equipment datasheets.
- Design LV distribution, MCCs, motor feeders, VFDs, earthing and bonding systems.
- Perform cable sizing, voltage-drop, short-circuit and protection/coordination calculations.
- Prepare electrical layouts, panel arrangements, installation drawings and MTO/BOQs.




- Coordinate interfaces with mechanical, HVAC, automation/BMS, structural and other disciplines.
- Handle interfaces with PLC, I/O, MCC, UCP, VFD and industrial control systems; Siemens experience is an advantage.
- Support cable routing, cable trays, BIM coordination, clash detection and penetration coordination.
- Prepare and review IFR, IFC and As-Built documentation, technical reports and engineering deliverables.
- Review vendor documents and manage technical interfaces with suppliers.
- Support FAT/SAT, commissioning, troubleshooting and O&M; activities when required.
- Ensure compliance with applicable IEC/EN and project standards; knowledge of Swedish electrical standards is an advantage.
- Previous experience with Swedish/European customers or projects is a strong advantage.

Qualifications

- Electrical Engineering Degree
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Cadium/MagiCAD, Dialux, EL-VIS and Febdok, ETAP, FebDok, PowerFactory or EasyPower
- SS-EN Standards, for example 436 40 00 etc.
- Ability to work with a minimum of instructions and complete tasks independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of programs.
- Must possess a team player attitude
- An obvious benefit is if you have experience and exposure for work towards Sweden
