Job Summary

As theSupply Chain Manager, you will lead end-to-end supply chain operations to deliver cost-effective, reliable, and timely flow of goods and services. You will own procurement, inventory management, logistics, vendor coordination, and demand planning processes, driving continuous improvement and measurable cost savings. The role requires strong cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Finance, Sales, and Product teams, and direct management of internal staff and external partners to meet service levels and operational KPIs.

Responsibilities

- Own day-to-day procurement, inventory management, logistics, and demand planning for assigned categories or product lines.

- Develop and execute sourcing strategies to optimize total cost of ownership and supplier performance.

- Manage supplier relationships, vendor selection, contract negotiation, and performance reviews.

- Implement and monitor inventory policies (safety stock, reorder points) to balance availability and working capital.

- Plan and coordinate inbound/outbound logistics and manage relationships with 3PLs and carriers.

- Lead demand forecasting and SOP activities to align supply with sales and production plans.

- Define, track, and report on supply chain KPIs (OTIF, inventory turns, lead times, cost per unit).

- Drive process improvements, cost-reduction initiatives, and compliance with procurement policies.

- Ensure accurate transactional and master data in ERP and related systems.

- Manage ad-hoc projects such as new vendor onboarding, SKU rationalization, and supply risk mitigation.

Technology Stack

- ERP: SAP (MM/SD), Oracle SCM, or Microsoft Dynamics.

- Procurement platforms: SAP Ariba, Coupa.

- Warehouse Transport: WMS, TMS, 3PL portals.

- Analytics reporting: Advanced Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL.

- Integration data exchange: EDI, APIs.

- Forecasting planning tools: Kinaxis, Blue Yonder/JDA, or equivalent demand-planning software.

- Additional: GPS/telematics integrations,



basic exposure to automation and IoT-enabled warehouse systems.

Requirements

- Strong experience in procurement, vendor management, inventory optimization, logistics, and demand planning.

- Proficient with ERP systems and supply chain modules; able to maintain master data and run supply transactions.

- Data-driven decision making with strong analytical skills and experience using Excel and BI tools.

- Proven negotiation and contract management capabilities.

- Solid understanding of SOP, lead-time management, working capital optimization, and supply chain KPIs.

- Familiarity with compliance, quality, and regulatory requirements in procurement and logistics.

- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills across departments and external partners.

- Comfortable with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) and change management.

Leadership Expectations

- Lead, coach, and develop a small supply chain team and external partners.

- Facilitate cross-functional planning sessions and manage stakeholder expectations.

- Drive performance through regular reviews, metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Make procurement and logistics decisions that align with strategic objectives and cost targets.

- Represent the supply chain function in project steering committees and contribute to strategic planning.

Qualifications

- Master of Business Administration (MBA) is required.

- 5 to 8 years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, inventory management, logistics, or related roles.

- Demonstrated experience with ERP systems and supply chain planning processes.

- Experience managing vendor relationships and leading operational improvements.
