About the Role:

The Manager – R&D; (Food & Nutrition) will be responsible for developing and optimizing Vitamin & Mineral Premixes, Nutritional Premixes, Functional Food Blends, and Customized Ingredient Systems. The role will translate customer nutritional requirements and label claims into scientifically sound, commercially viable, and regulatory-compliant formulations while supporting product commercialization, manufacturing, and customer applications.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop customized Vitamin & Mineral Premixes, Nutritional Premixes, and Functional Ingredient Blends for food, nutraceutical, and pharmaceutical applications.
- Convert customer label claims into optimized formulations through appropriate selection of vitamins, mineral salts, and other functional ingredients.
- Determine nutrient dosage, multiplication factors, overages, and premix inclusion levels based on product application, processing conditions, shelf life, and regulatory requirements.
- Recommend the most suitable fortificants considering bioavailability, stability, compatibility, sensory impact, and cost.
- Support product scale-up, process validation, manufacturing trials, and commercialization.
- Collaborate with Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory Affairs, and Supply Chain to deliver customer-centric solutions.
- Prepare technical documentation including formulations, specifications, nutritional calculations, and stability data.
- Support customer technical discussions, product troubleshooting, and application development.

Pre-Requisites:

- Hands-on experience in formulation and development of Vitamin & Mineral Premixes and Nutritional Blends.
- Strong understanding of micronutrient fortification, nutrient stability, overages,



and multiplication factors.
- Experience in translating customer label claims into commercially viable premix formulations.
- Good understanding of food processing, nutrient interactions, shelf-life studies, and application-specific formulation.
- Knowledge of global food fortification practices and relevant food regulations.

Qualification:

- M.Sc. / M.Tech. in Food Technology, Food Science, Nutrition, Biochemistry, or related discipline.
- Ph.D. or specialization in Nutraceuticals / Functional Foods will be an added advantage.
- 8–15 years of relevant experience in Food & Nutrition R&D;, preferably in the premix or nutraceutical industry.
