Job Type: Full time The Ocean Pricing Manager will be responsible for developing, negotiating, managing, and executing competitive ocean freight pricing strategies across import, export, cross-trade, and project cargo movements. The role will manage relationships with shipping lines, NVOCCs, overseas agents, and internal sales/operations teams to ensure competitive buying, accurate quotations, healthy margins, and fast response to RFQs and customer enquiries. The candidate should have strong knowledge of global ocean freight markets, shipping-line tariffs, local/port charges, free time, equipment availability, surcharges, and trade-lane dynamics.

Responsibilities

- The Ocean Pricing Manager will be responsible for developing, negotiating, managing, and executing competitive ocean freight pricing strategies across import, export, cross-trade, and project cargo movements.

- The role will manage relationships with shipping lines, NVOCCs, overseas agents, and internal sales/operations teams to ensure competitive buying, accurate quotations, healthy margins, and fast response to RFQs and customer enquiries.

- The candidate should have solid knowledge of global ocean freight markets, shipping-line tariffs, local charges, free time, equipment availability,



surcharges, and trade-lane dynamics.

Requirements

Essential

- 610 years of experience in ocean freight pricing/procurement.

- Strong FCL pricing experience.

- Good knowledge of major global trade lanes.

- Strong understanding of shipping-line tariffs and local charges.

- Experience negotiating with shipping lines/NVOCCs.

- Experience handling customer RFQs and tenders.

- Strong commercial and analytical skills.

- Excellent Excel skills and ability to work with large pricing datasets.

- Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Preferred

- Experience with project cargo / special equipment.

- Experience in cross-trade pricing.

- Exposure to LCL pricing.

- Experience with freight-forwarding ERP/TMS/CRM systems.

- Experience managing pricing teams.

- Knowledge of digital pricing tools or automated quotation platforms.

- Experience working with international customers and overseas agents.
