Role & responsibilities

1. FEMA & RBI Compliance

- Ensure compliance with applicable FEMA regulations, RBI directions, and other relevant statutory requirements.
- Review foreign exchange transactions and ensure that required approvals, declarations, and supporting documents are in place.
- Monitor regulatory updates and advise management on their applicability to the company.
- Coordinate with Authorised Dealer (AD) banks and external consultants on FEMA-related matters.

2. Foreign Currency & International Transactions

- Manage and monitor foreign currency payments, inward and outward remittances, and international banking transactions.
- Coordinate with banks for forex conversion, payment processing, documentation, and remittance status.
- Review foreign currency invoices, bank advices, remittance confirmations, and related accounting entries.
- Monitor foreign currency balances, exchange rate differences, and reconciliation of forex transactions.

3. Import-Export & Trade Finance

- Handle FEMA-related aspects of applicable import and export transactions.
- Coordinate with EXIM, procurement,



and accounts teams for foreign vendor payments and export receipts.
- Monitor relevant import/export documentation, including EDPMS/IDPMS, e-BRC/FIRC, and related bank records, wherever applicable.
- Support LC, bank guarantee, and other trade finance transactions, if applicable.

4. Reporting, Audit & Documentation

- Maintain complete documentation and audit trails for foreign currency transactions.
- Prepare periodic reports on foreign remittances, forex exposure, and outstanding transactions.
- Support statutory, internal, and external audits relating to FEMA and foreign exchange.
- Identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions.

Preferred candidate profile

- Corporate finance teams handling international payments and forex transactions.
- Banks or financial institutions with relevant FEMA and foreign exchange exposure.
- Import-export, pharmaceutical distribution, manufacturing, or international trading businesse
