Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced person to manage the construction, setup, and daily operations of a contemporary cold storage facility. The candidate should have experience in managing construction work, cooling systems, maintenance, workers, contractors, safety, and overall cold storage operations.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in modern-day cold storage setups, including facility planning, setup, temperature monitoring, equipment management, and smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities Cold Storage Construction & Setup

- Manage the complete construction and setup of the cold storage facility.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, engineers, and other teams during the project.
- Monitor civil work, flooring, roofing, electrical work, drainage, cooling systems, and other site activities.
- Ensure all work is completed properly and within the planned time and budget.
- Check the quality of materials and work being done at the site.
- Coordinate the installation and testing of cooling and refrigeration equipment.
- Visit the site regularly and ensure the project is progressing as planned.
- Handle and resolve issues that come up during construction and setup.
- Ensure the facility is set up according to modern cold storage practices and current industry standards.

Cold Storage Operations
- Manage the day-to-day working of the cold storage facility.




- Ensure the required temperature and storage conditions are maintained.
- Monitor cooling systems and ensure they are working properly.
- Maintain proper records of temperature, maintenance, stock, and daily operations.
- Ensure goods are received, stored, handled, and dispatched properly.
- Reduce product loss, damage, and unnecessary operating costs.
- Plan regular maintenance and arrange repairs whenever required.
- Manage operators, technicians, workers, and contract staff.
- Ensure proper use of storage space and smooth daily operations.
- Use modern methods and systems to improve storage efficiency, monitoring, safety, and overall performance.

Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all employees follow company safety rules.
- Ensure proper safety measures are followed during construction and daily operations.
- Conduct regular site checks and identify unsafe conditions.
- Ensure fire safety and emergency procedures are in place.
- Maintain necessary records related to safety, maintenance, and inspections.

Vendor & Contractor Management
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for construction, cooling, electrical, and maintenance work.
- Check the quality and timely completion of contractor work.




- Coordinate with vendors for equipment, repair, and maintenance requirements.
- Verify completed work and support the company in checking bills and payments.

Required Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Refrigeration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in cold storage, warehouse, refrigeration, industrial projects, or facility operations.
- Experience in setting up and operating modern cold storage facilities is preferred.
- Experience in handling construction work and daily operations.
- Good knowledge of refrigeration and cooling systems.
- Experience in managing workers, contractors, and vendors.
- Good communication, team management, and problem-solving skills.
