Role Description The Maintenance Supervisor is a full-time, in office role based in Chennai, responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of the company’s fleet and related equipment. This role includes planning and scheduling preventive maintenance, assigning tasks to maintenance staff, and monitoring work quality to ensure vehicles are safe, reliable, and compliant with company standards.

The Maintenance

Supervisor will diagnose issues, coordinate troubleshooting and repairs, manage maintenance records, and ensure adequate availability of tools, parts, and consumables. The role also involves working closely with operations and logistics teams to minimize downtime,



supporting safety initiatives, and guiding team members to follow maintenance procedures and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

- Strong supervisory skills, including team coordination, workload planning, and performance monitoring.
- Proficiency in equipment maintenance and preventive maintenance practices for transport vehicles and related systems.
- Hands-on experience with maintenance and repair, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.
- Effective troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of commercial vehicle standards, safety regulations, and maintenance documentation.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, maintenance schedules, and service reports.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams and vendors.
- Basic computer skills for maintaining maintenance logs and using fleet or maintenance management software.
- Relevant technical diploma or degree in mechanical/automobile engineering or a related field; prior experience in fleet or transport industry maintenance is an advantage.
