Job Role: Maintenance Fitter / Electrician

Job Location: Mahindra World City, Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu.

Experience: 3 to 11 Years

Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma Mechanical / Electrical

Industry: Auto Components / Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Operations:

- Perform breakdown and preventive maintenance of production machinery and equipment.
- Ensure maximum machine availability and minimize equipment downtime.
- Carry out routine inspection and maintenance of machines and utilities.

Troubleshooting:

- Identify and rectify mechanical and electrical faults in production machinery.
- Troubleshoot equipment such as SPM, pumps, motors, compressors, DG sets, conveyors, and other plant equipment.
- Attend emergency breakdowns and restore equipment safely and quickly.

Mechanical Maintenance:

- Carry out maintenance of bearings, shafts, couplings, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Perform dismantling, repair, replacement, alignment, assembly, and lubrication activities.

Electrical Maintenance:

- Carry out maintenance of motors, control panels, starters, contactors, relays, sensors, switches, cables, and electrical circuits.




- Identify and rectify electrical faults in machines and control panels.

Preventive Maintenance & Improvements:

- Execute preventive maintenance schedules as per the maintenance plan.
- Support TPM, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement activities.
- Identify recurring breakdowns and support corrective actions to improve machine reliability.

Machine Installation:

- Support machine installation, erection, modification, and commissioning activities.
- Assist in electrical and mechanical connection works for recent equipment.

Safety & Documentation:

- Maintain maintenance records, breakdown reports, machine history cards, and preventive maintenance records.
- Follow safety procedures, PPE requirements, LOTO, and company maintenance standards.
- Maintain good housekeeping in the maintenance area.

Team Coordination:

- Coordinate with Production and other departments during breakdown and maintenance activities.
- Support supervisors and engineers in maintenance activities.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians when required.
