Role Description The Maintenance Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in Bangalore, India, responsible for ensuring that Basil outlets operate safely, efficiently, and without disruption. This position oversees routine inspections of kitchen equipment, electrical and plumbing systems, and facility infrastructure, identifying issues and coordinating timely repairs.

The Maintenance

Executive plans and executes preventive maintenance schedules, manages service vendors, and ensures compliance with safety and hygiene standards. Daily tasks include responding to breakdowns, maintaining maintenance logs, monitoring spare parts inventory,



and supporting recent outlet setups or upgrades. The role works closely with operations and store teams to minimize downtime, control maintenance costs, and maintain a high-quality environment for guests and staff.

Qualifications

- Ability to perform and oversee routine and preventive maintenance for kitchen equipment, refrigeration work & electrical systems.
- Skills in troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and coordinating repairs with internal teams.
- Familiarity with safety, hygiene, and compliance standards relevant to food service outlets and facilities.
- Experience maintaining records, logs, and basic documentation for maintenance activities and inventory of tools and spare parts.
- Strong organisational skills, time management, and the ability to prioritise multiple maintenance requests across locations.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with operations, store managers & area managers.
- Previous experience in facilities or maintenance roles within hospitality, retail, or food service environments is preferred.
- Diploma or certification in electrical, mechanical, or facilities maintenance (or equivalent practical experience) is beneficial.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays when required to support outlet operations.
