Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Maintenance Engineer role based in Ahmedabad.

The Maintenance

Engineer will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing production equipment and facility systems to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient operations. Daily tasks include performing scheduled preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, coordinating repairs, and documenting maintenance activities in line with company standards. The role involves collaborating with production teams to prioritize work orders, recommending improvements to equipment reliability, and supporting adherence to safety and compliance procedures.

Engineer will also assist in planning spare parts inventory, supporting installation and commissioning of current equipment, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in the plant.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for industrial machinery and plant systems.
- Proficiency in Maintenance Engineering, including troubleshooting mechanical components and implementing reliability-focused practices.
- Experience with Preventive Maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution to reduce equipment failures and downtime.
- Hands-on expertise in Electrical Maintenance for motors, control panels, wiring, and basic instrumentation.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and industrial best practices in a manufacturing or mining environment.
- Ability to read technical drawings and equipment manuals, and use common maintenance tools and diagnostic instruments.
- Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Prior experience in heavy industry, mining, metals, or plastics manufacturing is an advantage.
