Position Overview

We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer – Electrical & Mechanical with 5–8 years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance.

The ideal candidate should have strong electrical maintenance expertise with a good working knowledge of mechanical maintenance. The role will involve maintaining and improving the reliability of foundry equipment, electrical systems, utilities and supporting machinery, while minimizing breakdowns and production downtime.

Key Responsibilities

- Take ownership of electrical and mechanical maintenance of foundry and plant equipment, with primary responsibility for electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot and maintain HT/LT systems, MCCs, control panels, motors, starters, VFDs, transformers and electrical distribution systems.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults in foundry machinery, sand plant, moulding, core shop, melting, shot blasting, fettling and material-handling equipment.
- Carry out troubleshooting of sensors, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoid valves, relays, contactors and industrial control circuits.
- Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce equipment breakdowns.
- Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical systems such as bearings, gearboxes, chains, belts, couplings, pumps, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Coordinate electrical and mechanical maintenance activities during breakdowns, planned shutdowns and equipment installations.




- Monitor equipment condition and identify opportunities for breakdown prevention and reliability improvement.
- Maintain breakdown records, preventive maintenance schedules, equipment history and maintenance reports.
- Coordinate with machine suppliers, contractors and service providers for maintenance and technical support.
- Maintain adequate inventory of critical electrical and mechanical spares.
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with electrical safety, machine safety and statutory requirements.
- Support 5S, TPM, Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with Production, Quality and other departments to minimize equipment downtime and production losses.

Candidate Profile

- Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics / Mechanical Engineering.
- 5–8 years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in electrical maintenance is essential.
- Experience in foundry, automotive manufacturing or heavy manufacturing will be preferred.
- HT/LT electrical systems
- MCCs and electrical control panels
- Motors, starters and VFDs
- Transformers and power distribution
- Industrial sensors, relays, contactors and control circuits
- Electrical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance
- Positive working knowledge of mechanical maintenance, including bearings, gearboxes, pumps, belts, chains, couplings, hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Experience with breakdown analysis, preventive maintenance and root-cause analysis.
- Knowledge of industrial electrical and machine safety practices.
- Good troubleshooting, problem-solving and team-coordination skills.
- Working knowledge in MS Excel and maintenance documentation.
