Job Summary

Responsible for overall maintenance activities of the dairy plant, ensuring smooth operation of utility and production equipment with minimum breakdowns. The role includes preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, utility monitoring, spare management, vendor coordination, safety compliance, and manpower handling.

Key Responsibilities

Plant & Equipment Maintenance

- Ensure smooth operation of all dairy processing and packing equipment.
- Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Monitor performance of pasteurizers, homogenizers, chillers, boilers, compressors, refrigeration systems, CIP systems, filling & packing machines, pumps and pipelines.
- Reduce machine downtime and improve equipment reliability.

Utility Maintenance
- Maintain utilities including refrigeration systems, air compressors, HVAC/AHU systems, RO & water treatment systems, DG sets, UPS systems, cooling towers, electrical panels and transformers.
- Monitor energy consumption and utility efficiency.

Preventive Maintenance
- Prepare and implement PM schedules.
- Maintain maintenance records and history cards.
- Ensure timely calibration and servicing activities.

Spare & Inventory Management




- Monitor critical spare availability.
- Coordinate with procurement and vendors.

Team Management
- Supervise technicians, operators, and contractors.
- Allocate daily maintenance work.
- Ensure discipline and productivity of maintenance team.

Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards, electrical safety, boiler and pressure vessel regulations, and EHS requirements.
- Support audits like FSSAI, ISO, EIA, and customer audits.

Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain maintenance logs and reports.
- Prepare breakdown analysis and corrective action reports.
- Coordinate AMC and service activities with OEM vendors.

Required Qualifications Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering.

Experience in plant maintenance or food industry maintenance industry preferred.

Experience

810 years in plant maintenance or food industry maintenance.
