Urgent opening for Logistics Officer (Male) with Singapore MNC

- Job Title: Logistics Officer

- Education: Graduate/Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Commerce, or related field.

Job Summary We are looking for an experienced and responsible Logistics Officer to manage and coordinate end-to-end logistics operations, including machinery and spare parts movement, domestic and international shipments, import processes, documentation, invoicing, GST compliance, and e-way bill generation.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in logistics operations and a positive understanding of machinery/spare parts handling, import documentation, transportation, inventory movement, GST rules, and statutory logistics documentation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Logistics & Shipment Management

- Manage end-to-end logistics activities for machinery, equipment, and spare parts.
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments with transporters, freight forwarders, courier agencies, and clearing agents.
- Plan and monitor dispatches, deliveries, and material movement.
- Track shipments and ensure timely delivery to customers/sites.
- Coordinate loading, unloading, packing, and transportation of machinery and spare parts.
- Maintain proper records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.

2. Import & Export Coordination

- Handle and coordinate import shipments from order placement to final delivery.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, CHA/customs agents, shipping lines, and suppliers.




- Manage import-related documentation such as Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading/Airway Bill, Certificate of Origin, and other required documents.
- Track shipment status, customs clearance, and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate with internal teams for documentation required for customs clearance.
- Verify import invoices and associated logistics/freight charges.

3. Invoice & Documentation Process

- Prepare and verify logistics and material invoices and supporting documents.
- Ensure invoices contain correct GST, HSN/SAC, quantity, value, and other statutory details.
- Coordinate with accounts/finance teams for invoice processing and payment documentation.
- Maintain proper records of purchase, sales, transport, and shipment documents.
- Ensure documentation is accurate and completed within timelines.

4. GST & E-Way Bill Compliance

- Generate and manage E-Way Bills for movement of goods.
- Ensure compliance with applicable GST rules and regulations related to transportation and movement of goods.
- Verify GSTIN, HSN codes, taxable values, tax rates, and other invoice details.
- Coordinate with the accounts team regarding GST-related logistics documentation.




- Monitor validity of e-way bills and arrange extensions/corrections whenever required.
- Maintain proper records for audit and compliance purposes.

5. Machinery & Spare Parts Handling

- Coordinate logistics for heavy machinery, industrial equipment, components, and spare parts.
- Understand the nature, dimensions, weight, and handling requirements of machinery and spare parts.
- Select appropriate transportation based on material type, size, weight, urgency, and destination.
- Coordinate special transportation requirements for oversized/heavy machinery when required.
- Ensure safe and timely movement of high-value equipment and spare parts.

6. Vendor & Transporter Coordination

- Coordinate with transporters and logistics vendors for quotations, bookings, pickups, and deliveries.
- Negotiate transportation rates where required and maintain competitive logistics costs.
- Monitor transporter performance and resolve delivery-related issues.
- Maintain a database of approved transporters, freight forwarders, and logistics vendors.
- Verify freight bills against agreed rates and shipment details.

7. MIS & Reporting

- Maintain daily/weekly/monthly logistics reports.
- Track pending shipments, deliveries, imports, freight costs, and material movements.
- Maintain shipment and logistics documentation for future reference and audits.
- Provide regular updates to management regarding shipment status and logistics issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve logistics efficiency and reduce transportation costs.
