Job Title: System Administrator Department: IT / Information Technology Experience: 2–5 years Employment Type: Full-time Location: Ahmedabad Reporting To: IT Manager / Management

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and technically skilled System Administrator to manage and maintain our company's day-to-day IT infrastructure. The person will be responsible for ensuring that computers, servers, networks, software, users, backups, and other IT systems are running smoothly.

The ideal candidate should be able to independently handle routine IT support, troubleshoot technical issues, maintain system security, and coordinate with external IT vendors whenever required.

Key Responsibilities

- Daily IT Support

Provide day-to-day technical support to employees.

Troubleshoot issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT equipment.

Install, configure, and maintain computers and required software.

Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts as required.

Assist employees with password, email, software, and system-related issues.

Maintain IT asset and equipment records.

- Network & Internet Management

Monitor and maintain the company's LAN/Wi-Fi network.

Troubleshoot internet, network connectivity, and access-related issues.

Manage routers, switches, access points, firewalls, and other network devices.

Coordinate with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) when required.

Maintain network documentation and configuration records.

- Server & Infrastructure Management

Maintain Windows/Linux servers and related infrastructure, as applicable.

Monitor server performance, storage, and availability.

Manage shared folders, file permissions, and access controls.

Perform routine system maintenance and updates.

Monitor system logs and resolve infrastructure-related issues.

- Backup & Data Protection

Monitor daily/weekly backups and ensure they are completed successfully.

Regularly verify backup integrity and availability.

Maintain backup schedules and documentation.

Assist with data recovery when required.

Ensure important company data is appropriately protected.





- IT Security

Install and maintain antivirus/endpoint security solutions.

Ensure operating systems and applications are regularly updated.

Manage user access and permissions.

Follow company IT security policies and procedures.

Monitor and report suspicious activities or security incidents.

Assist with implementing security best practices such as strong passwords and multi-factor authentication.

- Software & License Management

Install and configure authorized software.

Maintain records of software licenses and subscriptions.

Monitor license expiry and renewal requirements.

Ensure employees use only authorized software and applications.

- IT Asset Management

Maintain records of laptops, desktops, servers, printers, networking equipment, and other IT assets.

Track asset allocation to employees.

Coordinate recent computer/system setup for new employees.

Manage IT equipment replacement, repair, and disposal processes.

- Vendor & Service Provider Coordination

Coordinate with hardware, software, Internet, cloud, AMC, and other IT service providers.

Raise and follow up on support tickets.

Monitor vendor service and resolution timelines.

Escalate critical issues to management when necessary.

- Documentation & Reporting

Maintain IT infrastructure documentation.

Maintain records of system configurations, licenses, assets, and vendors.

Maintain IT support/ticket records.

Prepare regular reports regarding IT issues, assets, backups, and infrastructure status.

Document recurring problems and their solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's/Diploma degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.

2–5 years of experience in system administration or IT support.





Good knowledge of Windows operating systems.

Working knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux.

Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and basic networking.

Experience with Microsoft 365/Google Workspace is an advantage.

Knowledge of Active Directory and user/group management.

Knowledge of backup and recovery processes.

Basic understanding of cybersecurity and endpoint protection.

Positive hardware and software troubleshooting skills.

Ability to diagnose and resolve problems independently.

Good documentation and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.

Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.

Experience with firewall and network administration.

Knowledge of CCTV/NVR and access-control systems is an advantage, if applicable.

Experience managing IT infrastructure in a small or medium-sized business.

Working Requirements The System Administrator may occasionally be required to work outside normal business hours for:

Server maintenance and upgrades.

Network or infrastructure changes.

Backup/recovery activities.

Critical system failures.

Security incidents.

Planned IT maintenance.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
