The Lighting Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing, developing, and implementing innovative and functional lighting solutions for a diverse range of architectural projects. This role requires a robust understanding of lighting principles, technology, and design software, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams and clients. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating impactful illuminated environments while adhering to project requirements, budget, and sustainability goals.

- Develop creative and technically sound lighting design concepts from initial client briefs through to final implementation.

- Perform detailed photometric calculations, simulations, and analyses using industry-standard software to ensure design performance and compliance.

- Select and specify appropriate lighting fixtures, lamps, and control systems, considering aesthetics, performance, energy efficiency, and cost.

- Prepare comprehensive lighting layouts, schedules, specifications, and detailed drawings for construction documents.

- Collaborate closely with architects,



interior designers, electrical engineers, and other consultants to integrate lighting designs seamlessly into overall project plans.

- Ensure all lighting designs comply with relevant energy codes (e.g., ASHRAE 90.1, IECC), building codes, and industry standards.

- Create high-quality renderings, visualizations, and presentations to effectively communicate design intent to clients and project stakeholders.

- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources related to lighting design components.

- Conduct site visits during various project phases, including construction administration and aiming, to ensure design integrity and quality of installation.

- Stay abreast of emerging lighting technologies, trends, and sustainable design practices.

- Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs to ensure adherence to design specifications.

- Provide technical guidance and support to junior designers or project team members.
