Role Description The Librarian at The Gaudium will manage and organize the school library’s collections, ensuring that print and digital resources are accessible and up to date. Day-to-day responsibilities include cataloging and classifying materials, maintaining library records, and supporting learners and staff in locating and using information resources.

The Librarian will conduct orientation and instructional sessions on information literacy, reading programs, and research skills, while promoting a culture of reading and inquiry.



The role also involves coordinating with academic teams to align library resources with curriculum needs, monitoring library usage, and maintaining a welcoming, well-organized environment. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Library Services and Library Management to effectively administer daily operations and support users.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Library Science and organize resources accurately.
- Candidates should possess experience in Library Instruction to deliver information literacy sessions and guide users in research and resource use.
- Relevant academic qualification such as a degree or diploma in Library Science or Information Science.
- Solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with learners, educators, and other staff members.
- Comfort with digital library tools, basic IT skills, and familiarity with library management software.
- Prior experience in an educational or school library setting is an advantage.
