To act as ITP Limiteds Liaison Manager for Government Projects, responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing government-related projects and tenders, and building long-term relationships with government departments, PSUs, and allied agencies.
Role & responsibilities
Government Liaison & Relationship Management.
- Serve as the primary liaison point between ITP Limited and government departments, PSUs, local bodies, and key decision-makers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with officials and stakeholders in the government ecosystem.
- Represent ITP in meetings, site visits, and presentations with government clients.
- Understand client requirements and propose suitable product/solution packages aligned to government schemes and specifications.
Business Development & Tendering.
- Identify and track government tenders, e-procurement notices, and project opportunities relevant to ITPs offerings.
- Study tender documents, eligibility criteria, technical specs, and commercial terms.
- Coordinate preparation of technical and financial bids, ensuring compliance with tender requirements.
- Liaise with internal teams (operations, finance, legal, technical) for documentation, BOQs, drawings, and quotations.
- Follow up on tender submissions, pre-bid meetings, clarifications, and negotiations.
Market Intelligence & Reporting.
- Monitor policy changes, new schemes, and upcoming government projects in the interiors/building-products space.
- Maintain a pipeline of opportunities and provide regular updates to management.
- Prepare weekly/monthly reports on tenders applied, status, wins, and revenue pipeline.
Coordination & Documentation.
- Ensure all statutory documents (GST, MSME, registrations,
certifications, past work orders, etc.) are up to date for tender participation.
- Coordinate with vendors/partners where consortium bids or subcontracting are required.
- Support post-order coordination for smooth handover to the operations team.
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical/Architecture) or MBA (Marketing/Business Development) or equivalent.
- Prior experience in government tenders / B2B sales / institutional sales / government liaison is strongly preferred.
Experience
- Experience in business development, tendering, government sales, or liaison roles.
Skills & Competencies
- Good understanding of government tender processes, e-procurement portals, and liaison activities.
- Robust communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to read basic drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications (for interiors/building products).
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and email communication.
- Self-driven, target-oriented, and comfortable with field travel.
Preferred Add-ons (Nice to Have)
- Existing network with government departments / PSUs / contractors.
- Experience in interiors, doors, windows, kitchens, lighting, or building materials sector.
- Knowledge of GeM, TendersInfo, CPPP, or state e-procurement portals.
