Position: Legally Speaking - Editor

NewsX is looking for an experienced Legal Editor for Legally Speaking, who can lead legal journalism through podcasts, interviews, discussions, and digital video content. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of the Indian legal system, excellent editorial judgment, and the ability to engage senior legal professionals and experts.

Key Responsibilities

- Host and conduct podcasts, interviews, and one-on-one conversations with judges, lawyers, legal experts, academicians, and other key stakeholders.
- Identify and develop solid legal news stories, interview subjects, and discussion topics.
- Track developments in the Supreme Court, High Courts, tribunals, government and major legal institutions.
- Write,



edit and fact-check legal content for TV, digital and social media platforms.
- Translate complex legal issues into clear, accurate and engaging content for a general audience.
- Develop episode concepts, interview questionnaires, discussion points and editorial briefs.
- Coordinate with the production team for recording, editing and publishing podcasts/video interviews.
- Build and maintain a strong network of lawyers, legal experts and other sources.
- Ensure all content follows journalistic ethics, legal accuracy and editorial standards
