Role Description The Legal Researcher role at BeyondBench is a full-time hybrid position based in Mumbai, with flexibility for partial work from home. On a day-to-day basis, the Legal Researcher will review and analyze statutes, rules, regulations, court judgments, and government notifications to support platform content and legal intelligence features.

The role involves conducting structured legal research, summarizing and categorizing case law, and preparing explicit, accurate legal notes, digests, and research outputs for diverse users.

Researcher will collaborate with product, content, and technology teams to ensure legal information is up-to-date, relevant, and easy to navigate.

Responsibilities also include monitoring legal developments, contributing to compliance and regulatory content, and supporting editorial quality and consistency across the platform.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Law, with knowledge of Indian statutes, case law, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent Analytical Skills and ability to interpret complex legal materials and identify key issues.
- Experience in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting summaries, notes, and structured research outputs.
- Effective Communication skills, with clear, concise legal writing and the ability to explain concepts to non-experts.
- Advanced Research skills, including proficiency in legal research tools, databases, and citation practices.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Law (LL.B/LL.M) from a recognized institution; bar enrollment is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Prior experience in legal research, litigation support, academia, or legal publishing is preferred.
- High attention to detail, strong organization skills, and comfort working with digital platforms and technology.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment, manage deadlines, and adapt to evolving priorities.
