Role Description The Legal Manager role at Hinduja Housing Finance is a full-time, on-site position based in Rajkot.

The Legal

Manager will oversee legal affairs related to housing finance operations, including reviewing and drafting loan documentation, agreements, and contracts to ensure legal accuracy and risk mitigation. This role involves monitoring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, advising business teams on legal implications of transactions, and supporting resolution of legal disputes or customer issues.

Manager will coordinate with external legal advisors when required, maintain records of legal documents, and support audits and regulatory inspections. The position also requires collaboration with internal stakeholders to develop and implement processes that strengthen legal governance and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Law with the ability to interpret and apply relevant statutes and regulations in housing finance.
- Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, reviewing, and vetting agreements, contracts, and loan documentation.
- Experience in Legal Consulting, providing clear, practical legal advice to business and operational teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in Legal Compliance, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Hands-on experience managing Legal Affairs, including dispute resolution, coordination with external counsel, and regulatory interactions.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law (LLB/LLM) from a recognized institution; bar qualification is preferred.
- Prior experience in housing finance, banking, NBFCs, or financial services is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in office.
