About the Role

Haldiram’s Restaurant Business is looking for a skilled, proactive, and business-oriented legal professional to join our Legal team in Mumbai.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in non-litigation legal matters, legal drafting, contract management, commercial negotiations, compliance, and external liaison . The candidate will work closely with internal business, operations, HR, finance, procurement, and other stakeholders to provide timely and practical legal support.

Key Responsibilities

1. Legal Drafting & Documentation

- Draft, review, amend, and finalize various legal documents, agreements, notices, undertakings, declarations, and correspondence.
- Prepare and review commercial agreements, vendor agreements, lease/rent agreements, service agreements, NDAs, MOUs, and other business contracts.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and appropriate legal protection in all documentation.

2. Contract Management

- Manage the complete contract lifecycle, including drafting, negotiation, execution, renewal, and closure.
- Maintain and monitor the contract database and ensure timely renewals and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Identify contractual risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.

3. Commercial & Business Legal Support

- Provide legal support to Restaurant Operations, Procurement, Finance, HR, and other business functions.
- Review commercial terms and support business teams during negotiations with vendors, landlords, service providers, and other external parties.
- Advise stakeholders on legal implications of proposed business arrangements.

4. Non-Litigation Matters

- Handle day-to-day non-litigation legal matters of the Restaurant Business.
- Coordinate with external advocates, consultants, landlords, vendors, government authorities, and other stakeholders.




- Support the Legal Head/Senior Management in resolving legal issues and minimizing business risks.

5. Compliance & Regulatory Support

- Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, licenses, and statutory requirements relevant to restaurant operations.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants for legal and regulatory matters.
- Track important legal and compliance timelines and ensure timely action.

6. External Liaison

- Coordinate with government authorities, legal consultants, advocates, landlords, vendors, and other external stakeholders.
- Handle documentation and follow-ups related to registrations, permissions, notices, agreements, and other legal requirements.

Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of contract drafting and review .
- Good understanding of commercial and corporate legal matters .
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent drafting and documentation skills.
- Ability to identify legal risks and provide practical business-oriented solutions.
- Strong follow-up and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and work within deadlines.
- Good proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word and Excel .
- Professional integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.

Candidate Profile
- Experience: 4–5 years of relevant legal experience.
- Qualification: LLB mandatory; LLM preferred.
- Candidates with experience in in-house legal roles will be preferred.
- Should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-location business environment.
