Role Description The Legal Intern will work full time on-site at the firm’s office in Delhi, India, supporting lawyers across various practice areas. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting legal research on statutes, case law, and regulations, and preparing concise notes, case briefs, and summaries for ongoing matters. The intern will assist with drafting and formatting legal documents such as petitions, agreements, contracts, notices, and legal opinions under supervision.
Additional tasks include reviewing documents for accuracy, organizing case files, maintaining records, and helping prepare for court hearings, client meetings, and arbitration or ADR proceedings. The role may also involve observing court proceedings, client interactions, and internal strategy discussions to gain practical exposure to litigation and advisory work.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Law and understanding of core legal principles and procedures.
- Ability to support Legal Consulting activities, including research, analysis, and preparation of legal opinions.
- Competence in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, formatting, and reviewing legal documents and correspondence.
- Effective Communication skills, both written and verbal, for interaction with team members and preparation of clear legal content.
- Capability to identify, analyze, and interpret Legal Issues across diverse practice areas.
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a law degree (LL.B or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office and legal research tools; familiarity with online legal databases is an advantage.
- Professional integrity, commitment to confidentiality, and willingness to learn in a structured legal environment.
