Purpose Of The Position The position is required to handle product-based litigations and handling customer complaints where escalations are made to Legal Department. This position should also ensure that all the legal rights of the Company are protected, legal risks of the Company are covered, legal compliances of the Company are duly completed, legal processes of the Company are managed, legal documentation of the Company are managed and recorded, properly.

Key Responsibilities &Tasks;

Product Litigations

- Independently handling litigations including conducting analysis, evaluation and defense of all legal dispute on behalf of the company at various courts, forums, tribunals, corporations, commissions and other judicial bodies that may be required from time to time.
- Ensuring that Company is represented by capable lawyers for legal cases all over India.
- Assisting in handling alternate dispute resolution including proceedings under arbitrations and mediations.
- Briefing advocates on records of the company before different courts, forums, authorities, etc., as required all over the country.
- Attending hearings and/or briefing advocates on records of the company before different courts, forums, authorities, etc. as required all over the country.
- Independently drafting legal replies, para wise comments for products claims in co-ordination with various brands.




- Assisting in developing the monthly reporting system and ensuring dissemination of the same to the brands for inputs on legal cases.
- Endeavouring and assisting the brands wherever required in reaching settlements in the cases filed before various Forums or Courts involving disputes(s) and preparing necessary documentation for the same.
- Assisting in handling criminal complaints filed by customers, vendors, etc. before police authorities / criminal courts.
- Active participation with the police authorities and other investigating officers during inquiry / investigations.
- On case-to-case basis, advising on critical customer issues and vetting of communications including Non-Disclosure Agreement to / with such customers.

General / Miscellaneous

- Analysis of the violation alleged in the notice received from the Legal Metrology department and ensuring that the matter is resolved either through compounding or through legal proceedings.
- Co-ordinating with internal departments as well as consultants in connection with notices received from the Legal Metrology department.
- Liaising with Legal Metrology Department and filing of nominations.
- Advising internal departments on the legal metrology topics.

Miscellaneous

- Giving advice to internal departments as may be required on a day-to-day basis for quick resolution of legal issues.
- Handling product marketing queries from business teams.
- Discussing financial risks associated with litigations and legal cases with the Statutory Auditors.
- Independently handle and advise as well as drafting of various contracts, agreements & other legal documents, supervising agreement portal.
- Supervising and guiding legal intern, paralegal and officer legal activities. Get documents franked or notarized wherever required at the respective offices.
- Legal Metrology Notices and Litigations.
- Maintain and update litigation MIS.
