We are seeking an experienced Legal Collections Manager with a strong legal background and extensive expertise in collections, recovery, arbitration, and litigation management within the Banking and NBFC sector.
The ideal candidate should possess 15-20 years of experience in handling delinquent portfolios, legal recoveries, arbitration proceedings, and regulatory compliance, while driving effective resolution strategies to maximize recoveries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead legal collections and recovery operations across secured and unsecured portfolios.
- Develop recovery strategies to reduce NPAs and maximize recoveries.
- Manage end-to-end arbitration proceedings and recovery-related litigation.
- Draft and review legal notices, arbitration petitions, claims, and settlement agreements.
- Liaise with advocates, law firms, arbitrators, and recovery agencies.
- Ensure compliance with RBI regulations, SARFAESI Act, DRT proceedings, and other legal requirements.
- Provide legal advisory support on recovery and enforcement matters.
- Prepare recovery, litigation, and arbitration MIS reports for management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from a recognized university.
- LLM or certifications in Banking/Financial Laws preferred.
- Bar Council membership desirable.
Experience
- 15-20 years of experience in the Banking and NBFC sectors.
- Mandatory experience in Collections and Recovery Management.
- Strong experience in Arbitration and Litigation Management.
- Experience handling high-value delinquent portfolios and legal recoveries.
