Lead Software Engineer - Java Full Stack

Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Lead Software Engineer with robust expertise in Java 17, Spring Boot 3+ and modern Angular to design and develop secure, scalable and highly available enterprise applications.

The ideal candidate should be a genuine full-stack engineer, capable of working across backend services, Angular SPAs, REST APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure and production environments. This role requires strong coding, system-design, troubleshooting and technical leadership capabilities.

Must-Have Skills

- Java 17/21 strong hands-on development
- Spring Boot 3+ / Spring Framework 6
- Angular 20/21+ with TypeScript and RxJS
- REST API development and API design
- Microservices / distributed systems
- Cloud-native application development on AWS, Azure or GCP
- SQL + NoSQL/document databases

- Docker and preferably Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of scalable, highly available systems

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop and maintain complex Java/Spring Boot and Angular applications.
- Build secure, scalable and resilient REST APIs and distributed services.
- Develop modern Angular single-page applications (SPAs) and integrate them with backend services.
- Design solutions for high availability, horizontal scalability and operational resilience.
- Perform detailed code reviews and maintain engineering quality standards.
- Create technical designs, architecture documents, test strategies and deployment approaches.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues, perform RCA and drive permanent corrective actions.
- Implement automated testing, CI/CD and engineering automation.
- Work with relational and document databases, data models and ETL processes.




- Evaluate recent technologies and conduct technical PoCs where appropriate.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to technical standards, architecture and engineering best practices.
- Explore and apply AI-powered tools, APIs and frameworks to improve application capabilities and engineering productivity.

What We Are Looking For

- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with substantial hands-on development.
- Strong recent experience with Java 17/21 and Spring Boot 3+.
- Strong production experience with modern Angular, preferably Angular 20/21+.
- Demonstrated experience developing applications across both frontend and backend, not just one layer.
- Strong understanding of microservices, distributed systems, API design, scalability and resilience.
- Experience deploying and operating applications on a major cloud platform.
- Strong understanding of automated testing and quality-focused engineering practices.
- Ability to independently investigate production issues and drive technical solutions.
- Strong communication, technical decision-making and mentoring skills.

- Kafka or other messaging/event-streaming platforms

- Terraform or other IaC tools
- PostgreSQL / MySQL / Oracle
- MongoDB or other document databases
- Spring Security
- JPA / Hibernate
- OpenAPI / Swagger
- Performance engineering and application observability
- AI/LLM APIs or frameworks such as AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, LangChain or similar

Important Profile Fit This is a hands-on Lead Engineering role.

Profiles primarily focused on project management, Scrum/Agile coordination, DevOps, infrastructure, QA/testing, support or people management without strong recent full-stack development experience will not be suitable.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate recent production development using Java + Spring Boot + Angular and explain their personal contribution to architecture, coding, deployment and production troubleshooting.
