We are building a team around a Lead Software Developer - Java with AWS Cloud who can lead delivery of Java microservices and AWS Cloud services with strong ownership. You will collaborate on governance and architecture, ensure solid API contracts and code quality, and guide planning and priorities—apply today.

Responsibilities

- Assume ownership for the team’s technology solutions and delivery results
- Guide the team with technical thought leadership and decision support
- Remove technology blockers across the project lifecycle
- Work with architects and the CTO organization to align on governance and best practices
- Deliver solutions that meet functional and non-functional requirements with high quality
- Enhance designs, architectures, and frameworks through continuous contribution
- Oversee quality for data models, API contracts, architecture, frameworks, and code
- Help estimate effort, plan work, set priorities, and surface dependencies
- Enable collaboration across multiple teams and stakeholder groups
- Provide hands-on leadership in AWS Cloud Native microservices architecture

Requirements

- 8+ years of hands-on experience designing and developing front-end applications, microservices, and REST APIs
- Strong technical foundation in Java, Node.js,



and SpringBoot for APIs and microservices
- Expert-level experience with AWS Cloud services such as ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, and Cloudwatch
- Hands-on familiarity with DynamoDB and Aurora databases
- Experience working in agile methodology and using API testing tools
- Knowledge of monitoring tools like Splunk
- Strong client-facing communication with effective presentation skills
- Detail focus and ability to work in ambiguity while preserving structure
- Team leadership experience working across groups including Vanguard Database, CTO organization, and API Economy initiatives
- Ability to remove technical fuzziness and turn it into explicit solutions

- Python programming exposure
- Ability to contribute to cloud-native data pipelines
- Experience aligning solutions with business acumen and API economy
