About the Role:

- As a Software Engineer in Test (Product Excellence), you will design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions, processes, and frameworks to ensure high-quality product releases.
- You will contribute to validating systems that power products such as PlayStation Plus Cloud Streaming, ensuring reliability across releases and deployments.
- This role involves analyzing test failures, identifying root causes, and driving solutions in collaboration with internal engineering teams.

- You will be part of a global initiative focused on building robust automated testing solutions and improving quality engineering practices.
- The team emphasizes innovation, continuous improvement, and adoption of recent tools and technologies in testing infrastructure.
- Collaboration is key, with close interaction across quality engineering and development teams to enhance system validation processes.

You are Responsible for:
- Taking ownership of automated tests that validate PS+ Cloud Streaming system releases and deployments.
- Investigating daily test failures, identifying root causes,



and collaborating with teams to implement fixes and improvements.
- Enhancing testing infrastructure by adopting new technologies, tools, and methodologies.
- Researching and developing new testing tools, frameworks, and industry best practices to improve existing processes.
- Providing feedback to improve quality engineering processes and ensure efficient validation strategies.

To succeed in this role – you should have the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience, with 3+ years in SDET or software engineering roles.
- Strong programming skills, especially in Python and Java, with the ability to work across multiple languages.
- Experience in testing RESTful APIs, system integrations, and dependencies.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI/CD or GitHub Actions, along with workflow tools like Airflow.
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks, load/performance testing, and containerization technologies like Kubernetes.
- Proficiency with development and collaboration tools such as Git, GitHub/GitLab, and JIRA.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and post-production support, along with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage parallel tasks independently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Awareness of Generative AI concepts and their application in automated testing solutions
