About the Role:

We are looking for a Lead Acquisition & Support Engineer who will be responsible for managing the lead acquisition process, qualifying and allocating leads to the Sales Team, and handling after-sales support.

The candidate will manage leads end-to-end by receiving enquiries, qualifying leads based on customer requirements and purchase potential, allocating qualified leads to the appropriate Sales Team members, tracking lead progress, and maintaining lead-related reports.

The role will also be responsible for handling customer queries and after-sales service requests, coordinating with the Sales Team and OEMs/manufacturers, following up on open issues, and ensuring timely resolution and closure.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Acquisition – Process Ownership

- Take end-to-end ownership of the Lead Acquisition Process.
- Review and process incoming leads and customer enquiries received through various channels.
- Establish and maintain a structured process for lead capture, qualification, categorization, allocation, tracking, and reporting.
- Qualify leads based on customer requirement, application, product/solution requirement, budget, purchase timeline, location, and other relevant parameters.




- Categorize and prioritize leads based on business potential and requirement urgency.
- Allocate qualified leads to the appropriate Sales Team member based on product, geography, application, or other defined criteria.
- Ensure timely and accurate allocation of leads with complete and relevant customer information.
- Track the status of allocated leads and coordinate with the Sales Team for timely follow-up.
- Identify unattended, delayed, or incorrectly handled leads and take corrective action.
- Maintain complete and accurate lead records in CRM / internal systems.
- Prepare and share regular Lead Acquisition & Sales Team Reports covering lead volume, qualification, allocation, follow-up status, conversion, pending leads, and other relevant metrics.
- Monitor lead movement from Enquiry Qualification Allocation Sales Follow-up Opportunity Closure.
- Identify gaps in the lead acquisition process and implement improvements to increase lead quality, response time, and conversion.
- Coordinate with Marketing and Sales Teams to improve lead quality and acquisition channels.
- Maintain process documentation, SOPs, qualification criteria, and reporting formats for lead acquisition.
- Act as the central coordination point between the Lead Acquisition and Sales Teams.

After-sales support — Unbox Industry (20% Work Effort)

- Own post-sale installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting for all robotic and non-robotic products we sell — in office or remote
- Serve as the technical escalation point for sales, including on pre-sales calls where a technical answer decides the deal
- Diagnose field failures and drive warranty/RMA cases with OEMs through to closure, including the paperwork our distribution/import role requires.
- Run customer training and handovers; build commissioning checklists and troubleshooting SOPs so support doesn't depend on one person's memory.
- Track recurring failure modes across brands and feed them back into what we stock and recommend
- Study OEM product catalogues, datasheets, manuals, technical documentation, and application information.
- Handle customer technical queries related to products and solutions supplied by Unbox Industry.
- Provide basic technical guidance and product information to customers based on available technical documentation.




- Coordinate with OEMs, manufacturers, and suppliers for technical clarification, troubleshooting, product information, compatibility, and application-related queries.
- Follow up with OEMs and suppliers to ensure timely resolution of customer technical issues.
- Coordinate between customers, OEMs, Sales Team, and internal teams for troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Maintain proper records of customer complaints, technical queries, actions taken, and resolutions.
- Provide timely updates to customers regarding the status of their technical queries and support cases.
- Support the Sales Team with technical information, product research, and OEM inputs whenever required.
- Escalate complex technical issues to the appropriate OEM or internal technical team and ensure proper closure.

Required Skills

- Good understanding of Industrial Automation, Robotics, Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics, or related technologies.
- Strong process ownership and organizational skills.
- Good research and analytical abilities.
- Strong customer communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand technical requirements and identify relevant solutions/information.
- Strong coordination, follow-up, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with Customers, Sales Teams, OEMs, Manufacturers, and Suppliers.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel / Google Sheets and CRM systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple leads and support cases simultaneously.
- Ability to identify process gaps and drive improvements independently.

Qualification B.Tech / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Robotics, or a related engineering discipline.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in Industrial Automation, Robotics, Technical Support, Application Engineering, Pre-Sales, Inside Sales, Lead Management, Customer Support, or OEM Coordination will be preferred.

Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate should be technically inclined, process-oriented, organized, and strong in coordination and follow-up.

The person should be capable of taking ownership of the complete Lead Acquisition Process while also acting as a reliable technical support resource for customers and the Sales Team.

This role requires someone who can effectively work across Customers Lead Acquisition Sales Team OEMs Internal Teams, ensuring that leads are properly managed and customer issues are followed through to resolution.
