Role summary:

We are looking for a hands-on Lead Full-Stack Engineer to take ownership of the further enhancement and new development of VowWorks App Builder a production, multi-user AI-powered platform that generates and builds complete web applications from client requirements.

The product is a TypeScript monorepo: a Fastify + PostgreSQL/Prisma API, a React + Vite portal, and an agentic build engine built on the Anthropic (Claude) SDK, with real-time updates over SSE and end-to-end quality gates in Vitest and Playwright. This role is primarily technical architecture, coding, debugging, and solving complex problems in an AI-agent-driven codebase while providing leadership support when required, such as guiding junior team members, ensuring delivery alignment, and facilitating technical decision-making. The ideal candidate is smart, a quick learner, embraces AI coding tools as a daily working style, and is comfortable ramping up fast on a large, spec-driven codebase.

Required Skills & Experience

- 7 - 8 years of full-time hands-on development experience with strong command over TypeScript/Node.js and React full-stack development.
- Proven track record of building and delivering scalable, high-quality applications in production.
- Strong backend experience with Node.js API frameworks (Fastify/Express/NestJS), REST APIs, authentication/RBAC, and end-to-end application architecture.
- Solid experience with databases PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and other NoSQL stores and ORMs (Prisma preferred), including schema design and migrations. Technology-agnostic mindset the App Builder will generate projects on new stacks over time (e.g., mobile, new frameworks, new languages), so the candidate must be able to pick up any technology quickly and work on it confidently.
- Working knowledge of LLM/AI application development prompt design, tool/function calling, agentic workflows, and building with model provider SDKs (Anthropic/OpenAI).
- Ability to independently handle complex development tasks, debugging, and performance tuning in a large existing codebase.
- Strong testing discipline unit/integration testing (Vitest/Jest)



and end-to-end automation (Playwright/Cypress).
- Experience in defining coding standards, conducting code reviews, and ensuring quality compliance.
- Hands-on experience using AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, etc.) to speed up coding, documentation, and problem-solving.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile practices, and modern DevOps workflows (Git/GitLab, CI/CD).
- Quick learner able to absorb a specification-driven codebase (feature specs, ADRs, traceability matrices) and become productive rapidly.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical decisions and risks clearly.

Key Responsibilities: 1. Technical Expertise (Primary Focus)

- Strong hands-on proficiency in the product stack TypeScript, Node.js (Fastify), PostgreSQL/Prisma, React (Vite) across a multi-package monorepo.
- Enhance and extend the AI build engine: agent orchestration, planner/driver seams, prompt and tool design using the Anthropic SDK, and deterministic test drivers for offline verification.
- Design, develop, debug, and deploy scalable features end-to-end from database schema through API to portal UI, including real-time updates (SSE).
- Implement to specification with full traceability: map requirements to code and acceptance criteria to automated tests; no stubs, no placeholders.
- Skilled in solving complex technical challenges and performing root-cause analysis, including build-pipeline failures and AI-generation defects.
- Experience in writing clean, maintainable, secure, and testable code — including RBAC enforcement, secret handling, and audit logging discipline.
- Ship safely using feature flags and byte-identical fallbacks; verify end-to-end before arming new behaviour in production.




- Experience with system architecture, design patterns, API design, integrations, and performance optimization; document decisions as ADRs.
- Adaptability across technologies as per product needs (e.g., mobile/React Native output targets, new integrations).
- Hands-on use of AI tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, etc.) to accelerate development, documentation, and testing.
- Able to support pre-sales, contribute to solutioning, and confidently appear in client technical interviews.
- Able to manage the development team effectively, providing guidance and training whenever required. Can also conduct technical sessions when needed.

- Prior work with analytics, automation, or system integration projects.
- Experience participating in architecture forums or SDLC process improvement initiatives.
