Design & development of GSM (Glass, Seals & Mechanism) Parts.
- CAD analysis in different types of software (NX, Catia, Simulation software)
- Basic knowledge of homologation requirements of GSM Parts (Door Hinge, Glass, door locking system (Latch), Electric Motor- EMI/ EMC, Panoramic sunroof)
- BOM + ECN Management for design changes.
- Conceptual knowledge of Panel Checker + Checking fixture + Tool design review.
- Mould flow analysis for plastic parts tooling.
- Simulation analysis of sheet metal parts, Rubber parts, and Plastic Parts.
- Validation - Durability and Reliability issues monitoring and resolution on Vehicles.
Supplier Management
- To create a statement of requirement (SOR ), Design Verification Plan, and vehicle-related testing requirements for GSM.
- Manufacturing feasibility study and process mapping of GSM parts.
- To take corrective action after Problem diagnosis of chronic problems of GSM Parts.
- Fixture, tooling, gauge (FTG) mapping with First Time Right quality approach.
- Technical sign-off with supplier and technical review (TR)
creation for supplier VOB / UPB process.
- APQP meeting with suppliers and CFT.
Project Planning & Execution
- Project review with the supplier and delivered as per MGI events.
- VAVE knowledge, Basic understanding of the raw material.
- Benchmarking data mapping with respect to product design
- Vehicle build, validation, service, and field concern resolution.
- Preferred candidate profile
Expert in resolving Glass seal Mechanism design and development issues on time and & taking level analysis and in-depth root-causing capabilities. Exposure to Cross-functional and multi-cultural working environments. Good Team Player and comfortable working in a Plant workplace.
Qualification:
- Education: BE/BTech
- Experience:5 years -10 years in Glass seal Mechanism design and development.
Skills and Knowledge: Good Interpersonal and Communication skills. Knowledge of design, development, and Localization of Glass seal Mechanism Parts.
