Are you passionate about designing safety-critical automotive systems that save lives? Join our Engineering team and play a key role in the design and development of Steering Wheel and Airbag systems for passenger vehicles, SUVs, and MUVs.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design and development of Steering Wheel and Airbag mechanisms.
- Create and release 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using CATIA V5.
- Prepare and manage engineering deliverables including BOM, DFMEA, DFM/DFA, GD&T;, Tolerance Stack-up Analysis, and DVP.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Project Management, Purchasing, Quality, Testing, Manufacturing, and Suppliers.
- Support prototype builds, product validation, and vehicle trials.
- Conduct root cause analysis and problem-solving using structured methodologies such as 8D/G8D.
- Interface with customers and suppliers for technical discussions, trials, and issue resolution.
- Represent engineering activities within global teams and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Technical Skills Required Skills & Experience

- Robust experience in the design and development of automotive safety systems, particularly Steering Wheels, Airbags, or similar mechanisms.
- Expertise in sheet metal and plastic component design and development.
- Hands-on experience with CATIA V5.




- Knowledge of PLM tools, preferably Enovia.
- Experience in DFMEA, GD&T;, Tolerance Stack-up Analysis, DFM/DFA, and Design Reviews.
- Understanding of product testing, validation, and engineering change management.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering.
- 8-10 years of experience for Engineering Graduates.
- 10-12 years of experience for Diploma holders.
- Prior experience in a Tier-1 automotive supplier environment is highly preferred.
