We are looking for bright and passionate candidate for the position of Seat Restraint Design & Development

Location: Pune

Experience: 6 to 10 Years

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design & develop complete Seat Restraint Systems including seat belts, buckles, retractors, pretensioners, load limiters and anchorages. Knowledge of restraint system product development lifecycle.
- Design & release Restraints using CATIA V5 and PLM software.
- Perform packaging studies, tolerance stack-up, kinematic analysis, DFMEA and DFM/DFA reviews.
- Ensure compliance with AIS, CMVR, ECE R14/R16 and FMVSS occupant restraint regulations.
- Coordinate with Body, Vehicle Integration, CAE, Testing, Manufacturing and suppliers.
- Create and manage engineering drawings, DFMEA, DVP&R;,



reports and release documentation.
- Support prototype builds, validation testing, root cause analysis and benchmarking activities.
- Ensure engineering deliverables are achieved on time and within budget from concept to launch.
- Represent OEM CoC and coordinate with restraint system suppliers. Act as SPOC for seat restraint development.

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Automotive Engineering or related field.
- professional experience in automotive Seat Restraint System Design & Development
- Extensive experience with CATIA V5/V6 and PLM tools
- Robust knowledge of restraint systems, GD&T;, DFM/DFA, vehicle integration and validation
- Familiarity with AIS, ECE, FMVSS, occupant safety and crash regulations
- Understanding of webbing, stamped parts, plastics, pyrotechnics and manufacturing processes
