We are looking for a qualified and compassionate Labour Room Staff Nurse to join our hospital team. The candidate will be responsible for providing quality nursing care to antenatal, labour, postnatal, and newborn patients while assisting doctors during procedures and deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to patients in the labour room.
- Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs during labour.
- Assist doctors during normal and assisted deliveries.
- Prepare patients, instruments, and equipment for procedures.
- Monitor patients before and after delivery.
- Provide immediate care and support to newborns.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Follow infection control and hospital safety protocols.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses,
and other departments.
- Ensure proper availability and maintenance of labour room equipment.
Requirements:
- GNM / B.Sc Nursing qualification.
- Valid nursing registration.
- Experience in a labour room / maternity department preferred.
- Positive communication and patient-care skills.
- Ability to work in shifts, including night duty.
