Position Summary

Certuslab is seeking a Head of Laboratory to lead the setup, commissioning, NABL accreditation (ISO/IEC 17025:2017), and commercial growth of a multidisciplinary material-testing facility. Scope includes polymers, construction materials, paints, metals, packaging, textiles, chemical, food, and environmental testing.

Key Responsibilities

- Setup & Commissioning: Lead lab construction, equipment selection, layout design, installation, calibration, and vendor coordination to meet launch timelines.
- NABL & ISO 17025 Compliance: Implement quality systems, SOPs, test methods, uncertainty measurements, and proficiency testing; drive initial NABL accreditation and ongoing audits.
- Technical & Operational Management: Oversee testing across BIS/ISO/ASTM standards, manage sample workflows via LIMS, maintain turnaround times,



and ensure strict technical integrity.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage analysts, chemists, and technicians; set performance KPIs and uphold competency standards.
- Business Growth: Support client acquisition, technical presentations, and B2B engagement across target industries (construction, automotive, polymers, manufacturing) to build sustainable revenue.

Key Requirements

- Education: Master’s/Ph.D. in Chemistry, Material/Polymer Science, or B.E./B.Tech./M.Tech. in Chemical, Materials, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: 12–18 years in material/multidisciplinary testing, with proven experience in NABL-accredited labs and leadership roles (Lab Head/Technical Manager). Lab setup exposure is preferred.
- Competencies: ISO/IEC 17025, BIS/ASTM standards, equipment validation, team management, and client engagement.

Pay: ₹2,500,000.00 - ₹3,000,000.00 per year
