Job Title: Lab Trainer Semiconductor / Thin-Film & Solar Cell Fabrication Lab

Location: Gorakhpur

Job Summary: Responsible for the safe operation, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of semiconductor thin-film deposition, characterization, and photovoltaic testing equipment, while training students/researchers on SOPs, equipment operation, and laboratory safety.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and maintain lab equipment for substrate cleaning, thin-film deposition, annealing, and device characterization as per SOPs.
- Prepare substrates/samples through cleaning, coating, curing, drying, annealing, and metal electrode deposition.
- Perform material/device characterization using UV-Vis-NIR, PL Spectroscopy, Probe Station, Solar Simulator, and Parametric Analyzer.
- Conduct equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordinate with vendors for AMC/service requirements.
- Safely handle and store chemicals, maintain MSDS records and PPE compliance, and operate high-temperature/high-voltage equipment safely.
- Maintain DI water plant quality and filtration systems.
- Train students, research scholars, and staff on equipment operation, SOPs,



and laboratory safety.
- Maintain SOPs, equipment logbooks, sample records, experiment data, and documentation.
- Monitor consumables and maintain inventory; raise material indents as required.

Qualification & Experience

- B.E./B.Tech./M.Sc./M.Tech in Electronics, Applied Physics, Materials Science, Nanotechnology, Chemistry, or related fields.
- 25 years of hands-on experience in a semiconductor, thin-film, materials, solar-cell research lab, or cleanroom facility.
- Experience with deposition systems, characterization equipment, and solar simulators preferred.
- Working knowledge of thin-film deposition, vacuum systems, plasma cleaning, and high-temperature furnace operations.
- Basic understanding of I-V/J-V measurements and photovoltaic parameters.
- Solid attention to detail, documentation skills, and willingness to work with hazardous chemicals and high-temperature/high-voltage equipment under safety protocols.
