Job Title: Laboratory Technician

Job Summary The Laboratory Technician performs analytical, routine, and specialized laboratory tests to support scientific research, medical diagnostics, or product quality control.

Key Responsibilities

- Sample Preparation & Testing: Collect, receive, process, and analyze chemical, biological, or physical specimens according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Equipment Maintenance: Operate, calibrate, clean, and perform routine preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment (e.g., centrifuges, microscopes, spectrophotometers, automated analyzers).
- Data Management: Accurately record, verify, and input experimental and test data into Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) or physical logs.
- Reagent & Solution Preparation: Formulate reagents, chemical solutions, media, or standards following exact technical guidelines and safety protocols.
- Quality Assurance & Control: Perform standard quality control checks, monitor test validity, identify technical errors, and document discrepancies.
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain strict compliance with safety regulations (OSHA, GLP/GMP, CLIA,



or biosafety guidelines), including proper handling and disposal of hazardous waste and biohazards.
- Inventory Management: Monitor lab supply levels, track reagent expiration dates, and place orders to ensure continuous workflow.
- Collaboration & Support: Assist senior scientists, pathologists, or lab managers with special research projects or advanced testing protocols.

Required Qualifications & Education
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Technology, or a closely related field.
- Certification/License: Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) certification through ASCP, AMT, or equivalent state licensing (where applicable for clinical roles).
- Experience: 1–3 years of practical experience in a clinical, industrial, quality control, or academic laboratory setting (internship experience included).

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹28,098.00 per month
