As an L2 Windows Support Specialist, you will be the operational backbone of our global endpoint environment. Your primary focus will be delivering high-quality IT service management while handling complex escalations from L1 teams.
ITSM & ITIL Excellence (Global Scope):
- You must have a strong foundation in ITIL methodologies with a proven track record of operating within a global support model. You will be responsible for strictly adhering to SLAs while managing Incidents (rapid service restoration), Service Requests (standard operational tasks), and actively participating in Problem Management (identifying root causes of recurring endpoint issues).
Modern Management Support
- You will support and troubleshoot modern Windows-based environments. This includes operational experience with Windows Autopilot, ensuring smooth, day-to-day contemporary deployment and provisioning experiences for end-users worldwide.
Legacy Systems Operations: You need solid, practical experience navigating and operating within Microsoft Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM).
Certification
- The Microsoft Intune Administrator (MD-102) certification is highly preferred, or you must be willing to achieve it, to demonstrate your foundational knowledge of the Microsoft Endpoint ecosystem.
Secondary Skills
- Security Operations & Task Automation
At the L2 level, you will assist in maintaining the security posture of our endpoints and utilizing automation to speed up routine ticket resolution.
Encryption & Threat Monitoring:
- You will be responsible for day-to-day security compliance monitoring. This involves BitLocker encryption,
as well as Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, investigate alerts, and perform basic threat remediation under the guidance of L3/Security teams.
Scripting & Process Automation:
- To improve our SLA response times, you should possess functional proficiency in automation. This includes using PowerShell for routine scripting and leveraging the Microsoft Graph API to execute standard operational tasks more efficiently.
Strategic Context & Tanium Commitment Disclaimer
Endpoint Security & Management (Tanium):
Tanium is a critical operational tool for L'Oréal's endpoint visibility and control. Daily use of this platform is essential for maintaining our security baseline, running endpoint health checks, and applying rapid remediations globally.
Core Competency
We expect the candidate to demonstrate functional experience using the Tanium platform to query endpoints, ensure patch compliance, and support basic security responses within the L'Oréal ecosystem.
Certification Requirements
The Tanium Certified Operator (TCO) or Tanium Certified Administrator (TCA) certification is strongly desired to ensure you can navigate the platform effectively.
Mandatory Ramp-Up Commitment:
We recognize that robust L2 Windows technicians may not have prior exposure to Tanium. If you do not currently possess these specific Tanium skills or the required certification, you must formally commit to reaching the required operational level within the next 3 months.
Additionally, a mandatory 2-month ramp-up period will be enforced from your start date, during which you will be expected to achieve at least the TCO or TCA certification to secure your capability on this sensitive perimeter.
