Role & responsibilities

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced L2 Network Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Cisco and Aruba networking to manage and troubleshoot enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN and SD-WAN environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Configure, manage and troubleshoot Cisco & Aruba Layer 2/Layer 3 switches.
- Handle VLAN, Trunking, STP/RSTP/MSTP, LACP, Port-Channel, Stacking, VSF and VSX.
- Configure and troubleshoot Static Routing, OSPF and BGP.
- Install, configure and troubleshoot Aruba Access Points and Mobility Controllers/Gateways.
- Manage enterprise WLAN, SSID, RF, roaming, channel planning and wireless performance.
- Configure and support Aruba SD-WAN, WAN policies, tunnels, routing and branch connectivity.
- Manage and troubleshoot Aruba ClearPass (CPPM).
- Support 802.1X, MAC Authentication, RADIUS, TACACS+, AAA and role-based access policies.
- Monitor network availability, bandwidth utilization, interfaces and overall performance.
- Troubleshoot LAN/WAN/WLAN/SD-WAN, routing, switching and authentication issues.
- Perform firmware upgrades, configuration backup/restore, device replacement and preventive maintenance.
- Coordinate with OEM TAC, ISP, customers and field engineers for issue resolution.
- Handle L1 escalations, meet defined SLA and perform RCA for recurring incidents.
- Maintain network diagrams, device inventory, configurations, SOPs and technical documentation.
- Participate in network implementation, migration, upgrade and maintenance activities.

Provide shift and emergency support whenever required

Wireless: Aruba AP, Aruba Mobility Controller/Gateway, SSID, RF, Roaming, Channel Planning

Security & Authentication: Aruba ClearPass, CPPM, 802.1X, MAC Authentication, RADIUS, TACACS+, AAA

Networking Protocols: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, NAT, SNMP, NTP, Syslog

Operations: Network Monitoring, Troubleshooting, RCA, Incident Management, Configuration Backup, Firmware Upgrade

Candidate Profile

- 35 years of relevant experience in Enterprise Network Operations / Network Support.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco and Aruba networking products.
- Experience supporting enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN and SD-WAN environments.
- Graduate/Diploma in IT, Computer Science, Electronics or related discipline. Candidates with relevant networking experience may also be considered.
- Positive communication, analytical, troubleshooting and documentation skills.
- Willing to work in shifts and planned maintenance activities.
