Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced L2 Security Engineer with specialized, hands-on expertise in Imperva Database Activity Monitoring (DAM) solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, health monitoring, policy maintenance, alert handling, and troubleshooting of our enterprise DAM infrastructure. You will work closely with SOC, database, and infrastructure teams to safeguard critical data assets, analyze suspicious activities, and ensure robust regulatory compliance.

Key ResponsibilitiesInfrastructure Operations

- Monitor, administer, and maintain enterprise Imperva DAM infrastructure to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
- Configure, implement, and maintain DAM monitoring policies, rules, and exceptions.
- Oversee database activity tracking, privileged user actions, and access patterns using Imperva DAM.
- Support the deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of DAM agents across diverse database environments.
- Proactively fine-tune DAM monitoring policies to reduce false positives and optimize security visibility.

Incident Management Analysis
- Investigate database security alerts, anomalies, and potential security incidents in real-time derived from Imperva DAM.
- Collaborate with Security Operations Center (SOC) teams to support thorough incident analysis, containment, and remediation.




- Perform forensic analysis on database logs using Imperva reporting tools to identify root causes of security events.

Platform Support Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and resolve DAM connectivity, agent communication, and monitoring impediments.
- Assist with software installations, routine system upgrades, and critical security patching for the Imperva environment.
- Monitor overall Imperva DAM server health, resource utilization, and operational performance.
- Execute system backup and disaster recovery restoration procedures for Imperva components as scheduled.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with database administrators (DBAs) and infrastructure teams to expedite issue resolution.

Compliance Reporting
- Support continuous compliance monitoring frameworks leveraging Imperva compliance reports, including PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, SOX, and HIPAA.
- Generate structured operational, audit, and compliance reports from Imperva DAM for stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure all database monitoring configurations strictly adhere to corporate and industry security policies.

Required Qualifications Technical Skills
- Education: Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology,



or a related field.

- Experience:
- 3 to 6 years of total professional experience in cybersecurity or database security.
- Mandatory: Minimum of 2+ years of dedicated, hands-on experience in Imperva DAM administration and support.

- Core Technical Competencies:

- Proven, hands-on operational experience with Imperva DAM solutions (Mandatory).
- Strong foundation in database security monitoring concepts and threat vectors.
- Demonstrated expertise in Imperva alert lifecycle management, policy tuning, and security event log analysis.
- Working understanding of enterprise database platforms, including Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
- Functional proficiency in Windows and Linux operating system administration.
- Experience with SIEM integration and centralized log analysis.

Preferred Certifications
- Imperva DAM Certification (Strongly Preferred)
- CompTIA Security+
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
- ITIL Foundation

Positive-to-Haves
- Practical experience integrating Imperva logs with SIEM platforms such as Splunk, IBM QRadar, or Microsoft Sentinel.
- Basic scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
