About the Role
We're looking for an experienced, detail-oriented KYC Manager to lead our offline KYC operations for Non-Individual accounts including Corporate, LLP, Partnership, NRI, and Institutional (MF/FPI/PMS) clients. This role requires strong, hands-on expertise in Depository (CDSL) and Broking Operations, managing physical/paper-based due diligence end-to-end while ensuring full compliance with SEBI, Exchange, and Depository regulations. You'll own KYC, CKYC, KRA, and FATCA/CRS frameworks, drive automation initiatives, and act as the primary point of contact for internal, external, and regulatory audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and govern end-to-end client onboarding, profile updates, modifications, and account closures across broking and depository platforms
- Oversee and automate KYC, CKYC, KRA, and FATCA/CRS due-diligence processes in line with SEBI, CDSL, and Stock Exchange guidelines, with a focus on complex Non-Individual accounts
- Ensure flawless day-to-day execution of depository operations with high accuracy and optimal turnaround times (TAT)
- Prepare, validate, and submit mandatory periodic regulatory reports and filings to CDSL and Stock Exchanges within statutory timelines
- Lead internal, external, concurrent,
and regulatory audits/inspections, ensuring zero non-compliance and swift resolution of queries
- Monitor, track, and resolve client grievances within defined SLAs, driving root-cause analysis and corrective action
- Formulate and enforce SOPs and internal operational risk controls
- Partner closely with Technology and Product teams to drive operational automation and system enhancements
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 58 years of experience in Broking and Depository Operations, preferably with a SEBI-registered entity
- 2–3 years in a team lead / managerial capacity
- Strong hands-on experience in CDSL and Stock Exchange operations
- Solid understanding of SEBI regulations, CDSL rules, Exchange circulars, KRA, CKYC, FATCA, and CRS requirements
- Experience handling Non-Individual accounts — Corporates, LLPs, Partnerships, NRIs, MF, FPI, and PMS clients
- Solid grasp of client onboarding, account modification, and closure processes
- Experience managing audits, inspections, and regulatory queries
- Strong problem-solving skills for complex operational issues and escalations
- Ability to translate business/regulatory requirements into system workflows in partnership with Tech and Product teams
- Proficiency in Advanced Excel, MIS, and data analysis
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- NISM Series VI (Depository Operations) or NISM Series VII (Securities Operations and Risk Management) preferred
